Questions for the Mayor that i have revamed and try to incorperate an ecological approach

1. Can you outline for me what is actually meant by the Peachy Road development

2. The Development seems to be quite extensive and far reaching. Was the Peachy Rd Community involved in the development process and if so could you outline what that involvement was.

3. In particular how did the Council go about inviting involvement eg what publicity material was there.

4. In your evaluation what do you think is the best way to get community support for the concept.

5. Bringing Peachy Road to Life will be an exciting and I suspect challenging process, within the precinct who will the Council work with. Which groups, organisations, cultural groups, individuals would be involved.

6. Is there evidence that the community are enthusiastic about the development and if so can you tell me how they are helping progress the project.

7. Is there a diverse number of culturally distinctive groups in the Peachy Belt, if so was there a planned approach to ensuring their feed back and involvement.

8. Given the diversity of the different cultural groups has publicity materaials in different languages etc been produced and is there interpretor services available to promote the concept amongst these groups.

9. As I said earlier the project seems to be both exciting and diverse. Has Council given much thought as to how local knowledge and skills can be utilised to forward the project or will the majority of the work be outsourced?

10. Part of the plan is to utilise the environment and increase awareness amongst the community of the importance of the environment .Can you outline for me how you envisage the community begin taking responsibility to improving and protecting their environment? Will this educational process be a high priority for the Council?

11. Finally Major if you were to look into the future say 20years what is it you see the Peachy belt being?

  1. Hi Julie,

I really think that we need to phrase questions from more of a strengths based perspective. I might have another go at them if that's ok.

    Cheers,
    Candi
